Adventskranz - Advent wreath

It does not need to be round....

Tradition

Celebrating with an Advent wreath is a meaningful custom in many Christian traditions on the 4 Sundays before Christmas and an  excellent way for Christian families to keep Christ at the center of Christmas, and for parents to teach their children the true meaning of Christmas.

The Wreath

The Advent wrath is usually a  circular of evergreen branches. They present eternity. Typically 4 candles are arranged and one ist lit each Sunday before Christmas.

Nowadays there are also more modern versions where candles are arranged in a row or else.

DIY - make your own

You can make an Advent Wreath by yourself (you can get all you need at DIY and Deco stores or flower/plant stores)
or buy them nearly everywhere - even at supermarkets.
