There is a Bundesgartenschau every year in a different place in Germany - updates to follow.
Are you interested in flowers and gardens – love to walk around in nature? In for a nice family outing?
Then you have to look out for the garden shows.
Close to Stuttgart you can visit the Bundesgartenschau and the Remstal Gartenschau.
Bundesgartenschau (national garden show – Life in Bloom)
A special garden created in a different city in Germany every two years with lots of attractions for children and adults. And this years’ garden show is very close - in Heilbronn.
After 12 years of planning, over a million planted flowers, set-up of two lakes, 22 houses and much more the big national garden show has opened its gates for the public.
Until Oct. 6thfrom 9 a.m. to dawn you can enjoy flower and plant arrangements, different gardens with corners to relax, hanging chairs, play grounds, a fitness trail, a climbing wall, water playgrounds and join any of the other activities and offers.
Remstal Gartenschau
Connecting 16 communities from Remseck to Esslingen there are a lot of attractions.
The event gardens are in Schondorf and Schwäbisch-Gmünd.
You will find a lot of cycling paths, hiking trails and other outdoor activities like canoe-tours and even stand-up paddling.
A nice hiking trail for families is around the area of Schwäbisch Gmünd called Naturatum Erlebnis Waldpfad, where the kids can follow a XXL ball valve right to the city center.
