Ski, Sledging, Ice skating in Stuttgart Area
Looking for a 'snowy' day trip?
Especially in cold winters and winters with high snowfall, you can easily go for a day trip to ski and toboggan/sledge around Stuttgart. There are several small ski areas in the Schwarzwald or on the Schwäbische Alb with just an hour drive or even less. In many resorts you can enjoy nighttime skiing (floodlights).
The lift cards are usually quite cheap and they offer ski / snowboard courses for beginners and children.Just make sure to check their websites to ensure that the lifts are running.Also in most places you should be able to winter walk and do some sledging.
